The 45 million pound Gunners’ summer signing has been on the sidelines since he was injured in early February.
As reported by Mikel Arteta, Thomas Partey could play in Arsenal’s game against Benfica as the player is “very close” to being back in top form.
Partey has missed the last three games due to an injury acquired in a 1-0 loss to Aston Villa on February 6.
The absence of the defensive midfielder has not gone unnoticed, as the ‘Gunners’ have only been able to win one of three games, losing in one and drawing in the other.
The 27-year-old will participate in a training session on Wednesday. If unscathed, the Ghanaian will join the team on the trip to Athens for the knockout round of the Europa League.

“It is very close,” said Arteta at a press conference, via Evening Standard. «Today he has one last test in training. If he feels good, he can play the game.
Rob Holding, who received a blow to the head and was substituted in a 1-0 loss to Manchester City on Sunday, will not travel.
“Rob is not available,” Arteta added. He has a concussion. We have used that [sustitución]. He’s completely fine, but obviously now we have to follow the protocols and he won’t be able to travel.
