Arsenal Players Under Attack for Treatment of Children and Young People: Controversy at Anfield

Arsenal players were subjected to violent attacks from the fans, and widespread criticism for their treatment of children and young people, before the start of their team’s match with Liverpool in the English Premier League.

Arsenal tied with Liverpool, with a goal for each team, in the match that brought them together last Saturday evening, at Anfield, in the matches of the eighteenth round of the English Premier League.

Video clips spread across social media, showing one of the children who is supposed to accompany Martin Odegaard before entering the field, standing alone in the middle circle of the field.

This is not the first time that the London team’s players have been subjected to a public attack because of their dealings with children before the start of matches. Last April, the team witnessed a situation similar to this one.

Last April, after a draw with West Ham with two goals for each team, some of the team’s players signed children’s shirts on the field and ignored one of the children, only to be subjected to a fierce attack and some described them as “rude and overpaid.”
