Jakarta

Arsenal this season so strong candidate champion Premier League. Failure to finish in the top four painfully last season is Arsenal’s push.

Last season Arsenal were still in the top four until Week 25 of the Premier League. They are six points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur who are in seventh place.

However, as the season progressed, Arsenal actually relaxed, including losing to Tottenham in the North London derby. In the end, Arsenal overtook Tottenham in the race for fourth position.

Almost a year has passed, Arsenal are now at the forefront of the race for the Premier League title. Mikel Arteta’s men took the lead Premier League standings with 60 points from 25 matches, five points ahead of Manchester City.

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale admitting failure last season is very painful. The wound has become Arsenal’s ‘fuel’ this season.

“It hurts a lot. Especially because we lost to neighbors, which makes it even worse for the fans and for us,” Ramsdale said as reported by the Mirror.

“What drives us are the wounds of last season, nobody forgets that and what happened.”

“It was a big boost for this team. But now we have players who are experienced and have done it many times in the Premier League, Carabao Cup, FA Cup, Euros.”

“So we’ve been in that situation, some players. Others 20, 21, 22 years old playing the best football of their careers and taking this team forward,” said Ramsdale.
