London club Arsenal have confirmed the transfer of Swedish club BK Hacken striker Roza Kafaji.
Atlético The transfer fee for the 21-year-old was agreed between the clubs last week. Kafaji now has a long-term contract and will wear the number 16.
A nine-time Swedish international, Kafaji made his debut at the age of 15 for AIK Football. He made 46 appearances for his hometown club before joining Haken in January 2022, scoring 28 goals in 61 games.
“It’s amazing to join this club and I’m really happy to be here,” said Kafaji. “After speaking to Jonas and Claire I have a really good feeling and I feel at home at Arsenal. I’m hungry to keep growing and I know this is the right place to do that and compete for the biggest prizes I can. I can’t wait to get started and get out there in front of all our supporters at the Emirates Stadium.”

Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall added: “I am delighted to have been able to bring Rosa to the club. He is one of the most exciting young talents in the world and I have been a huge admirer of his game for a number of years. He plays fearlessly for his age and I know he has the hunger and mentality to fulfil his potential here with Arsenal.
Cafaji is Arsenal’s third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Marion Caldentei and Daphne van Domselaar from Barcelona and Aston Villa respectively.
He is the second signing for fellow Swede Eidevall from Haken since taking over, with Stina Blackstenius the first signing in January 2022.
Arsenal kick off their pre-season this weekend with the first leg of their US tour against Washington Spirit at Audi Field on Sunday (August 18). The return leg of their trip comes a week later against Chelsea on August 25 before they return to England to start their Champions League qualifier against Rangers.
