Mazamitla, Jalisco.- An armory was found inside two abandoned vehicles in Mazamitla. The Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) reported that he is investigating the fact as there are no detainees.
The investigation ascertains that members of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) were wandering around the municipality when, on a dirt road, they found the abandoned vehicles. Their characteristics have not been described.
“The Attorney General’s Attorney General (FGR) in Jalisco integrates an investigative file against who or who is responsible, for the crimes of violation of the federal law on firearms and explosives and against health, after the seizure of long guns, magazines, cartridges and drugs in the municipality of Mazamitla, Jalisco,” the agency said.
Four long guns, 25 magazines, 300 rounds, a grenade launcher mount and .40mm were found inside the vehicles. Also five vests with metal plates. In addition to 5 kilos 340 grams of marijuana which were in 320 packages, but it was not disclosed if they had the initials of a cartel.
“It should be noted that there were no detainees in this action, therefore the insured was made available to the Federal Public Prosecutor (MPF), which continues with the integration of the investigative file”, it is noted.
