Arsenal fear losing Martin Odegaard to Premier League rivals Chelsea as Real Madrid demand £ 50million from the player this summer, the Daily Star reports.
Odegaard arrived in the Emirates in January on a six-month loan.
The Gunners paid £ 1.8million in fees but did not agree to a buy clause option in the deal.
Real valued Odegaard at £ 30million at the time, but after his outstanding performance under Mikel Arteta Arsenal fear the La Liga giants will make them cough up £ 50million to get him to sign a permanent deal.
The 22-year-old Norwegian is believed to be keen to continue in London, but it remains to be seen which teams in the city he could play for in the 2021/2022 season.
