(ANSA) – LONDON, GEN 30 – Arsenal won 2-1 at Nottingham Forest and climbed to second place in the Premier League, whose date 22 also recorded Newcastle’s 3-1 victory as a visitor to Aston Villa and the rout Luton’s 4-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Brazilian Gabriel Jesús opened the scoring in the 65th minute for Arsenal and assisted Bukayo Saka seven minutes later to extend the lead, while Taiwo Awoniyi scored in the 89th minute for Nottingham Forest.
With this result, Arsenal reached 46 points, two less than Liverpool, which this Wednesday will visit Chelsea (31), precisely its rival in the final of the English League Cup.
