Arsenal – Bournemouth 3:0, Haaland scored four goals for City to win, Arsenal retained first place

Haaland completed a hat-trick in the first half, which he did for the second time in the Premier League. Only former England internationals Michael Owen and Andy Cole were able to do that before him. First, in the 12th minute, he scored from a penalty, in the 35th minute, he increased the score with a placed header and converted the second penalty kick in the set-up.

In the 53rd minute, Hwang Hi-chan gave Wolverhampton hope, but from the next attack, the Norwegian gunner again returned the comfortable lead to the favorite with a cross shot. Haaland has 25 goals and is close to defending his crown as the top scorer, but he is unlikely to repeat his performance of 36 league goals from last season. In the end, substitute Álvarez secured Manchester’s win.

Arsenal took the lead at the end of the first half with a converted penalty by Saka. The England international scored the 20th competitive goal of the season, which Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang last managed in the Gunners jersey in 2019/20. In the 70th minute, Trossard added a shot to the back post and closed the scoring on a Rice set-up.

The big London club won the league for the fourth time in a row. Tenth-ranked Bournemouth did not score after two previous wins and lost a real chance for the cup rungs.

On the verge of returning to the second league after only one season among the elite is Burnley, who lost 1:4 at home to sixth-placed Newcastle. The “Magpies” decided already in the first half, successively Wilson, Longstaff and Guimaraes scored. In the 53rd minute, gunner Isak did not convert the penalty, but he soon scored his 20th league goal of the season.

In the end he just corrected O’Shea’s score. Burnley is penultimate with two rounds to go, with a five-point loss to seventeenth-placed Nottingham, who won 3-1 at last-placed Sheffield. The already relegated team conceded 100 goals in the league season, which was the last time Leicester scored 115 years ago in the English league in a format with 38 games in a season.
