Arsenal and instruments for drone attacks seized in Caborca, Sonora

Mexico City., Elements of the Mexican Army and the National Guard seized 23 devices for launching explosives with drones, as well as long weapons, magazines, live cartridges and vehicles, on a dirt road in the town of El Arenoso, in the municipality of Caborca, Sonora.

The vehicles, as well as the war material, were seized and made available to the Federal Public Prosecutor’s office in the state, to continue the corresponding investigations.

On the other hand, the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime (FEMDO) obtained from a federal judge the linkage to proceedings against José “J”, for his probable responsibility in the commission of crimes against health.

Background information on the case indicates that a few days ago, elements of the Sedena and the National Guard arrested the accused at the Querobabi strategic checkpoint, located at kilometer 112 of the Hermosillo-Santa Ana Highway, Sonora, when he was driving a pickup truck and a trailer attached.

The police asked the driver for the documents that covered his cargo and carried out an inspection, detecting that 16 packages of methamphetamine were being transported in the truck’s bed, and another 122 packages in the tires, which in total weighed 55 kilograms.
