GUADALAJARA, Jal., August 10, 2024.- During a surveillance tour of the San Juan Bosco neighborhood in Guadalajara, police from the State Security Secretariat (SSE) seized a vehicle with homemade armor and several firearms.
According to a statement, the events occurred at the intersection of San Esteban and Genovevo Rivas Guillén streets, where officers from Special Groups, while conducting surveillance in the area, heard three gunshots and so they began to search the area.
The officers spotted two men on a black motorcycle who, upon seeing the patrol car, accelerated and fled in an unknown direction.
At the scene was a blue Nissan Murano pickup truck, 2004 model, with license plates from the State of Michoacán, which had homemade armor plating on its structure and showed traces of bullet impacts.
Following security protocols for such cases, state police searched the truck where they found 25 long shotgun-type weapons inside, so they notified the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Attorney General of the Republic, where they ordered the seizure of the vehicle and the firearms.
