Chelsea and Dynamo Moscow have continued behind-the-scenes talks over a potential transfer for Arsen Zakharyan. And this would be close to completion.
Chelsea and Dynamo Moscow have made an important step forward for a deal for the transfer ofArsen Zacharyan at the London club. The Russian full-back was set to sign during the Premier League’s latest summer transfer window. But the move was not possible only because of the sanctions against Russia following the invasion of Ukraine.
Chelsea and Moscow found the save for Zakharyan’s transfer
However, Sport.ru indicates that the deal will now be done through an Armenian bank. Which would be a sort of diversion from the sanctions that have hit Russia. Arsen Zakharyan will also travel to Armenia next month to apply for Armenian citizenship, which will make it easier to obtain a UK work visa.
A transfer estimated at 15 million euros
However, there is no question of changing his sports citizenship and therefore he will remain with the Russian national team. Chelsea are expected to pay €15m for this transfer when the winter transfer window opens on January 1.
