LONDON – Trainer Spain National Team, Luis Enrique, arrogant ahead of facing Italy in the semifinals of the 2020 European Cup. The former Barcelona tactician said that Spain’s target was to get rid of Italy in the semifinals, qualify for the final and win Euro 2020.
“We are very proud. It’s ridiculous to think, that we or any of the semifinalists are satisfied with the semifinals. We all want to reach the final and be champions,” said Enrique, quoted from the official UEFA website, Tuesday (6/7/2021).

Having super high ambitions, it is not impossible to plunge Spain. Luis Enrique can reflect on the Swiss coach, Vladimir Petkovic. After getting rid of France in the last 16 of the 2020 European Cup, Petkovic boasted.
He said he could beat any team, including Spanish in the Euro 2020 quarter-finals. “We must be hungry (to win) to qualify for the next round,” said Petkovic, quoted from France 24, Friday (2/7/2021).
“From this point on I can’t say I’m satisfied. Because, for me, the next step is always the most important. We want to qualify for the next round, even if we face one of the favorites in Spain.”

However, the results obtained by Switzerland are far from good. Switzerland were eliminated by Spain in the quarter-finals of the Euro 2020 via a penalty shootout.
