The requirement for a PCR test, regardless of whether a person is COVID certified, applies to countries in the so-called red zone, where the prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) is over 500 people per year. 100 thousand population for a period of two weeks.
To the countries that fall into the red zone from next Tuesday are added:
Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Hungary, Denmark, Iceland, Greece, Liechtenstein, Andorra, Poland and Switzerland are on the list of countries in the red zone.

They can come to Bulgaria from countries in the red zone if they are Bulgarians, members of their families, with the status of residence in the country, medics, participants in the supply of medicines, officials and members of their delegations, seasonal workers, students.
People who do not provide a negative PCR test on arrival within the last 72 hours upon arrival in the country are subject to a ten-day quarantine. Quarantine can be revoked after arrival in Bulgaria, if the person does a PCR test by the end of after entering the country. “The quarantine of the person shall be considered terminated from the day following the registration of the result in the National Information System for Combating COVID-19”, it is stated in the order of the Ministry of Health.
