ORAN – The Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration of Tunisians Abroad, Mr. Othmane El Jarendi, and the Chadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Chadians Abroad, Cherif Mahamat Zene , arrived Tuesday evening at the international airport of Oran “Ahmed Ben Bella”, to participate in the work of the 8th high-level conference on peace and security in Africa scheduled for next Thursday in Oran.

The two ministers arrived at Oran airport accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community abroad, Mr. Ramtane Lamamra.
On his arrival, the Tunisian minister declared to the press that “Algerian-Tunisian relations, which are very old, are constantly evolving, notwithstanding the total, close and permanent coordination between the leaders of the two countries and between me and my brother Ramtane Lamamra “.
Mr. Othmane El Jarendi affirmed that the two countries are in constant coordination on all issues of the region, the world and bilateral issues, referring to the permanent and continuous consultation between the two countries.
“We are keen to work together in all fields and in all circumstances,” he said.
The Tunisian minister indicated that his presence in Oran is part of the meeting of the Peace and Security Council in Africa.
“This is another opportunity for this Council to meet in Oran with the non-permanent African members of the Security Council, many officials of the United Nations (UN) and senior officials of the African Union ( AU), for consultation, dialogue and coordination on all issues of interest to Africa in all fields, especially those related to security, peace and development, “he said.
In this sense, the head of Tunisian diplomacy estimated that “the conference will be an opportunity to exchange views on the most effective means of working in the interest of Africa and in the interest of Africa. our countries and to draw up recommendations that we will follow in our diplomatic activity at the level of the Security Council and at the level of the African Peace and Security Council “.
He also affirmed, in the same context, that Algeria, which hosts this meeting, “is always a precursor to develop all the appropriate frameworks for dialogue, whether at the Arab or African level and recently at the level of neighboring countries of the Libya “, adding” the meetings of the coming days are part of these consultation frameworks that our sister Algeria offers us so that we can dialogue with each other and identify work strategies that will benefit our countries and security and peace in our region “.
The high-level conference on peace and security in Africa will be held in Oran from December 2-4.
