Dr. Dicky added, how to treat heart disease in children such as arrhythmias depends on the type. In the past, the only way to treat arrhythmias was to prescribe medication. But drug administration is generally not effective because it must be monitored closely and has unwanted side effects. “Currently there is another treatment option for patients with arrhythmias, namely Radio Frequency Ablation which uses a small instrument with heat energy to destroy the abnormal electrical circuits that cause the arrhythmia,” he added.
Furthermore, Dr. Dicky explained that 3D Ablation was carried out using HD Grid 3D Mapping System. This technology is believed to provide a new paradigm in mapping arrhythmias, both simple nor complex. The old paradigm uses a bipolar catheter, while the HD Grid uses a multipolar and multidirectional catheter so that it can detect gap which the bipolar catheter does not see.
