“Arrests Made in Yahukimo as KKB Perpetrator and Leadership Apprehended”

The Yahukimo Police have arrested AS members of an armed criminal group (KKB) the perpetrator of the shooting was a Brimob member, Bripda Gilang. Not only that, the leadership of the KKB was also arrested.

The Yahukimo Police arrested 22 people suspected of being members KKB one of whom was declared the perpetrator of the shooting of a Brimob member, Bripda Gilang, who died on 30 November 2022.

“22 people have been arrested at the Yahukimo Police, it was found that one of the people arrested on behalf of the US, 25 years old, was involved in the shooting of members of the Cartenz Peace Operations Preventive Task Force which resulted in the death of Bripda GAP (Gilang), Brigadier F and Bripda DB was injured by gunshots,” said Karo Penmas Divhumas Polri Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan to journalists, Sunday (21/5/2023).

The US is now named a suspect. He is also being held for questioning.

“Furthermore, the US was named a suspect in the case and was detained for further processing,” he added.

Ramadan calls US joining KKB leadership of KTH since 2021. The US buys firearms from H in exchange for 20 grams of gold.

“Then the weapon was handed over to KTH on March 3, 2022 at the Yamoi headquarters. The US participated in the shooting of members of the Preventive Brimob Task Force which resulted in 1 MD and 2 people being injured on November 30, 2022 in Yahukimo District,” he said.
