Two people were arrested in Trondheim in April, the police in Trøndelag report in a press release.
They have been arrested and charged with sharing sexual images of people without consent.
On Wednesday this week, a third person was arrested in Eastern Norway. He is charged with possessing and sharing media files showing sexual abuse of children.
– After receiving a tip in mid-April, the police have used large resources and worked interdisciplinary in the investigation of the case. We have also received assistance from Kripos, says prosecuting officer Suzanne Molund in Trøndelag police district in the press release from the police.
The group in question – which Dagbladet revealed on Wednesday – has had several thousand members.
– Questioning is ongoing in the case, including of persons with the status of being offended, the police write in the press release.
The police are investigating whether payment has been taken for access to the group or the content of the group.

Dagbladet is aware that the police have been investigating the case for a longer period, and that they have received a number of reports from several places in the country.

Those arrested are suspected of being involved in a closed forum on the messaging service Telegram.
In the forum, nude pictures of Norwegian girls and women from all over the country are spread and shared, among other things, to around 9,000 members. Photos that appear to be private are also shared by some of Norway’s biggest celebrities.
The pictures are usually shared without the girls’ knowledge or consent, and the forum was probably created in March 2023.
Dagbladet is aware that one of the rules in the forum is that it is only allowed to send pictures of Norwegian girls.
