Feyenoord previously reported to have identified 25 spectators who misbehaved during the match in De Kuip. Three of them have violated the house rules of the Rotterdam club, but have not been arrested. It is not clear whether they or the arrested persons have or will receive a stadium ban.
Immediately after kick-off, the match in the semi-finals of the cup tournament had to be stopped because fireworks and smoke bombs were set off behind one of the goals. Mugs of beer and lighters were also thrown during the match. An object hit the head of Ajax player Davy Klaassen, who was injured as a result. The thrower, a 32-year-old man from Roelofarendsveen, was arrested.
