Elements of the anti-gang brigade of the provincial security of Salé arrested, Wednesday evening, seven individuals, including six minors. All of them are suspected of exchanges of violence causing material damage to other people’s property by throwing stones.
The suspects, aged 14 to 17, who belong to two rival factions of football supporters in the cities of Rabat and Salé, had entered a conflict which escalated into an exchange of violence and stone-throwing causing casualties material to the windshield of a car parked on the public road in Hay Essalam, said a statement from the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN).
The intervention of police elements allowed the arrest of seven suspects and the seizure of a knife in the possession of one of them.
The minor suspects were placed under surveillance, while the adult suspect was placed in custody, while the ongoing investigation continued.
