A 17-year-old boy from Gilze and a 21-year-old Tilburg citizen were arrested last night because they are suspected of a burglary at a store on Bredaseweg.
Local residents called the police around half past one because they saw the two boys near the store. One of the two would also have been on the roof of the building.
Officers saw the pair running away in Sint Annastraat, an officer chased after them with his surveillance dog Fred. He released the dog to stop the boys.
A little further on, one of the suspects appeared to be sitting on the roof of a car. The other suspect was standing next to the car. The car was damaged. The pair have been arrested. Traces of forced entry were found at the store and further investigation is underway.
