This is reported by a number of British media, including the BBC and The Guardian. The two have been on the run since January 5.
The couple also have an infant together, which they took with them on the run. The police have not yet found the child.
The BBC reports that the search for the infant is now “urgent”, reports the BBC. The police believe the child was only a couple of days old when the couple ran away.
The police assume that neither Marten nor the child received health care after the birth.
According to The Guardian, Marten and Gordon have traveled around England by taxi – after the couple’s car caught fire.
The two have been observed by surveillance cameras in several places in England in recent weeks.
The Guardian writes that the couple must have traveled from Bolton to Liverpool, and on to Essex. The pair on the run have also been spotted in London and Sussex.
