The alleged fraudster is accused of committing one crime of fraud, another of identity theft, and two of usurpation of marital status. He tricked two of his friends into entrusting him with the information he needed to be able to register the loans and contracts.
The suspicions began on June 8 when a neighbor of the fishing village filed a complaint at the Civil Guard Barracks. In the movements of his bank account he had observed that, since last March, they had been collecting receipts for amounts of different amounts, which ranged between 167.19 and 199.86 euros, from a financial institution, without him having requested no credit.
However, for the moment they had already charged him more than 900 euros. Apparently someone had applied for two loans personal in your name for the acquisition of motorcycles. The Investigation Area of the Civil Guard of Santa Pola began what has been called Operation Motoigo 2021, to clarify these facts.
The agents in charge of the investigation were able to verify that the alleged perpetrator had requested a loan of 13,000 euros for the acquisition of two motorcycles at a dealership in Madrid, registering the debt in the name of the injured party. Subsequently, he sold the two motorcycles, keeping the profit obtained from their sale.
To evade police action, used the identity of a third person to make the contracts for the purchase and sale of the vehicles, trying in this way not to be discovered. During the course of the operation, the agents discovered that, on the other hand, the same person had usurped the identity of another victim, and had entered into three Internet and Telecommunications supply contracts. Services that, although he was enjoying himself, were being paid for by the injured party in this case.
The alleged perpetrator has turned out to be a co-worker of one of the injured parties, and an acquaintance of the other, who, taking advantage of a friendship relationship and the trust placed in him by his victims, had obtained the necessary personal data to give of register the two credits and the three contracts.
A 32-year-old man of Spanish nationality has been investigated, with previous crimes for similar acts. The proceedings have been made available to the Elche Investigating Court.
The two motorcycles have been located, one of them in Santa Pola and the other in Barcelona. His whereabouts have been made available to the Judicial Authority that is hearing the case.
