Agents of the Local Police of Ferrol detained a 42-year-old French citizen during the early hours of yesterday for an alleged crime against traffic safety. The man, who spent the night in the cells of the San Xoán barracks, was brought to justice in the morning.
The events happened at 00:30 on Friday 15 in the Basana area. A patrol that carried out surveillance work in the roundabout of the FE-13 saw how they approached two vehicles, a red Seat Leon and a gray Mercedes C. They both circulated with a high speed and without keeping distance security, so the agents began to follow them.
The vehicles made several changes of direction without signaling before the Local Police managed to stop them on the Carricoa road, where they verified thate in each of the cars were three people who were not living together and without a mask, for which they were denounced both for that and for breaking curfew.
The agents practiced on both drivers the breathalyzer test. The test carried out on the red car was negative, but the one on the gray car gave a result of 0.72 mg / l in expired air and, in a second test, 0.73, which is a crime against traffic safety. Local Police identified the man as a French citizen without domicile in Spain, who had arrived two days ago and who was staying with several friends.
