The Mossos d’Esquadra (Catalan autonomous police) have arrested a man who allegedly murdered at least three homeless in the last ten days in the Eixample district (Barcelona, Spain) on Tuesday morning, they report local media.
The last murder took place on Monday night very close to the Sagrada Familia temple. The victim, a young man under the age of 30, was reportedly severely hit on the head, possibly with a hammer.
On the 16th and 18th of this month, two people who lived on the street also died after being hit several times with a blunt object.
The Police has opened an investigation to determine if the detainee keeps relationship with a the homicide of a indigent occurred on March 19 in the Fort Pienc neighborhood, also located in the Eixample. In this case the victim died after being stabbed.
