Arrested in A Coruña for buying and selling prohibited weapons over the internet and selling drugs | Radio Coruña

The Civil Guard has arrested two people, one in Almonte and the other in A Coruña, for illicit possession of prohibited weapons which they sold through the internet. The operation, called “Jucaria” and which has been developed in Almonte, A Coruña, Jaén and Huéscar (Granada), It was started after knowing the existence of a user of an internet portal dedicated to the sale of products, a resident of the Almonte town, who advertised for sale a great variety of objects classified as prohibited weapons, according to the Arms Regulations and the Penal Code, the Civil Guard reported in a statement.

Respect The search carried out at the home in A Coruña, in addition to the apprehension of numerous prohibited weapons, resulted in the deactivation of a drug sale point, intervening different substances and precision scales.

Two people were arrested in the operation, one from Almonte (Huelva) and another from A Coruña, and a third from Huéscar has been investigated.

The detainees, together with the weapons and the intervened material, have been placed at the disposal of the Court of First Instance and Instruction number one of La Palma del Condado (Huelva), which agreed to the immediate admission to prison for one of them, and imposed as Precautionary measure the presentation every seven days in court for the second.

Among the large number of advertised items, he had for sale a wide variety of Blank firing pistols capable of being transformed into firearms real, automatic knives, tactical axes, crossbows, “butterfly” opening knives, brass knuckles, daggers or catanas, accounting for more than 130 advertisements for articles of this type of weapon for sale throughout Spain.

To stock up on these weapons, of which the advertisement specified their strength and danger, the seller contacted telematic businesses with offices in EU countries, such as Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Romania and Poland.

The exploitation of the operation took place at the end of June, and the addresses of both the seller and other people were searched, who had bought large quantities of these prohibited weapons, in different provinces.

More than 110 types of weapons were seized, along with 76 blank cartridges and 5 flares.
