Arrested creator of one of the largest child pornography forums in Portuguese

This Wednesday, the Brazilian Federal Police (PF) detained the suspect in the creation and maintenance of one of the largest Portuguese-language forums on child pornography on the internet, official sources said.

At stake is the “Operation Unveiled” launched this morning by the PF, which, through international police cooperation, investigated people involved in sharing pornographic images involving children and adolescents.

According to the investigations, a Brazilian would be responsible for creating and maintaining one of the largest Portuguese-language forums for child pornography on the ‘deep web’, the name given to an internet zone that cannot be easily detected by traditional search engines. , ensuring privacy and anonymity for its users.

“In addition to making the platform available to users worldwide, the investigated person still published a large number of videos and photos of himself raping various victims. The ages of the girls varied between 5 and 12 years old,” the PF said in a statement, referring to to the activity of the subject currently detained.

According to the authorities, he is a Brazilian who lives in the state of São Paulo, “approximately 50 years old, single, with a daughter and a grandson”.

The forum, as well as other platforms created by the suspect, were already known to police in several countries.

“So far, there is no indication of the participation of third parties, which will be further clarified by analyzing the material seized on the spot and by hearing those involved (aggressor, victims and family),” added the PF in a statement.

The Federal Police is also investigating the “probable commercialization” of part of the criminal collection produced by the investigated.

The crime of publishing child pornography images provides for a sentence of three to six years in prison in Brazil. The sexual rape of vulnerable people provides for eight to 15 years in prison.

The police operation in question was reported by the Minister of Justice of Brazil, André Mendonça, who congratulated the agents involved.
