PHOENIX- Phoenix police report that a suspect in the murder of a teenager on the streets of Phoenix has been arrested.
Authorities identified 23-year-old Gilberto Fabela who was booked into jail on Monday on suspicion of murder.
Police did not reveal a possible motive for the shooting. Officers detailed 16-year-old Michael Loving was found behind the wheel of a moving car, but stopped in front of a home Monday morning.
The incident occurred in the area of 40th and Camelback streets.
According to police, Loving was shot and pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, a pistol was found inside a garbage container in an alley behind the house. Footage from a neighbor’s surveillance camera allegedly showed Fabela holding a gun and pointing it in the direction of the sedan.
