A driver in his 20s who is suspected of hitting a passerby while driving a luxury foreign car while taking drugs has been arrested.
The Seoul Central District Court issued an arrest warrant for a 28-year-old surnamed Shin who is accused of driving a Rolls-Royce vehicle near Apgujeong Station in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 2nd and rushing into India, seriously injuring a woman in her 20s.
The judge explained the reason for issuing the warrant, saying, “There is a concern that Mr. Shin will destroy the evidence.”
At the time of the accident, Shin was not in a drunken state, but ketamine, an anesthetic, was detected in a simple drug test.
Shin was previously sentenced to one year in prison and three years of probation after being caught taking methamphetamine five times for eight months from July 2016.
