The former glamor model did not appear at a court date in bankruptcy cases. Judge Catherine Burton then confirmed that the 46-year-old woman had been given a clear warning that she would have to go to prison if she did not appear.
Price was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March this year. She was ordered in February to pay 40 percent of her monthly earnings from an online erotic site to her trustee over the next three years. The second case involves a tax claim for approximately 762,000 pounds (904,000 euros), which Price has not yet paid.
Enough of “standing court dates”
“She has no real excuse for not attending today’s hearing. The reason for her absence today is irrelevant,” Judge Burton said. “In my opinion, the court must issue an arrest warrant for Ms. Price.
Solicitor Darragh Connell, who represented the trustee, said the arrest was intended to ensure Price’s attendance at a future hearing. They will not be “detained for a longer period of time.”
Price said last year that she was tired of the regular events in court and that she would rather go to prison.
