The World Court issued arrest warrants against Netanyahu and his former defense minister, Yoav Galant, on charges of war crimes in the Gaza war between Israel and Hamas.
Tel Aviv: Israel has appealed the International Criminal Court’s order to arrest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for war crimes. The appeal also called for the arrest warrant against the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense to be temporarily suspended pending the appeal. The World Court issued arrest warrants against Netanyahu and his former defense minister, Yoav Galant, on charges of war crimes in the Gaza war between Israel and Hamas.
A similar arrest warrant was issued for Hamas’s military chief, Mohammad Deif. The statement said that Israel will question the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the validity of the arrest warrants, and if the petition is rejected, the world will see how biased the International Criminal Court is against Israel.

The US and France supported Netanyahu and rejected the guarantees. However, the UK and Canada said they would comply with the arrest warrant. Netanyahu accused the ICC of anti-Semitism.
