Arrest team invades apartment in Zutphen with flashbang grenades and arrests man | Zutphen

The arrest team raided the house loudly, using flash bang grenades as an aid to overpower the suspect. Such grenades cause a flash and a bang, temporarily disorienting the suspect.

The man was then led down the stairs handcuffed and blindfolded and taken to the police station.

The action ended a busy day for arrest teams elsewhere in the country: raids also took place in Meppel and Zwolle. These had to do with the murder of Henk Wolters from Zwolle and a weapon find in which the murder weapon was also found.

During those raids, the 44-year-old resident of the apartment in Zwolle was arrested. The police did not confirm whether the 44-year-old from Zwolle was Michel ‘De Gier’ B. (alleged henchman of Wolters).

It is not yet known whether the case in Zutphen has anything to do with this. Police on the spot indicated no more than that the raid in Zutphen was made as part of an ongoing investigation and that further details will be announced during the day.
