Officers of the General Administration for Combating Public Morality Crimes in the East Delta region were able to arrest a student in his twenties in the city of Mansoura, Dakahlia Governorate, if he used an application specifically for homosexuals and attempted to attract a number of those wishing to practice vice.
Information was received by officers of the General Administration for the Protection of Public Morals in the East Delta region, indicating that a student residing in the city of Talkha had created an account through an application specifically for homosexuals, and openly requested to engage in debauchery through the application.
The Public Prosecution’s permission was obtained and a campaign of General Administration officers was formed to combat crimes of public morals in the East Delta region, and the person being investigated was arrested if he was on Al-Gomhouria Street within the scope of the First Mansoura Police Department.
When the accused was confronted with what resulted in the arrest, he admitted that he was a homosexual and used the application to search for men to practice homosexuality. Report No. 20294, misdemeanor, was filed at the First Mansoura Police Department and presented to the Public Prosecution to initiate investigations.
