In the Poltava region, a deputy of the village council, who was close to the traitor Ilya Kiva, was arrested.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in the Poltava region detained a man from the inner circle of ex-deputy of the Rada Ilya Kiva who fled to the Russian Federation.
Special Service Details made public on the morning of August 4 on his official account.
The detainee is a deputy of the village council in the Poltava region.
“The official was a close associate of Ilya Kiva, ex-deputy from the banned OPF party, and until February 24, 2022, repeatedly turned to him for a solution to his businesses“, – said the SBU.
According to the investigation, he secretly used his acquaintances who are fighting in the Donbass. The suspect reportedly wormed military information from them and directed Russian Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) at their positions.
“He noted the received data on electronic maps and published them on his own Facebook page, which was actively “monitored” by enemy intelligence services. The aggressor used this information to correct the shelling“, – said the SBU.
In addition, according to the investigation, he also conducted pro-Kremlin propaganda on the Web, discrediting the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. His provocative recordings very often appeared in the fake stories of RosTV.
Kiva’s colleague was detained under the article on the dissemination of classified information about the Defense Forces of Ukraine (part 2 of article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He faces up to 8 years in prison.
As a preventive measure, the court sent the suspect to a pre-trial detention center without the right to bail.
Formerly Kiva asked Putin about political asylum and a Russian passport.
