A young man was arrested by a police patrol and another from the Nîmes anti-crime brigade, on the night of Saturday to Sunday. Around 1 a.m., the police were called following an attack on the home of this 71-year-old woman. In the night, she heard someone pounding on her door. She wanted to unlock her door without opening it completely, but the individual managed to force entry. Once inside he punched the victim, causing her to repeatedly bang his head against the walls. A man who then stole several items including the lady’s cell phone. The police quickly on the spot saw and apprehended the individual in the Chemin bas district of Avignon, near the place of the attack. He was arrested and placed in police custody where he is this Sunday evening pending legal action on Monday July 17…
