A man has been arrested for stealing and selling copies of Starfield about two weeks before the game’s release. At the beginning of this week, he shared images of the game on social media. It is claimed on Reddit that some buyers have already received the game from the leaker.

The 29-year-old man, who calls himself online DHavenShadow, started sharing gameplay footage from Starfield last Sunday, writes Kotaku. He later put several copies of the game on the Japanese second-hand sales site Mercari, including the Constellation Edition worth 300 euros. He also posted a video in which he is on his way to the post office, in his own words to deliver the purchased games. The video also shows a large stack of Starfield games. It is claimed on Reddit that some buyers have already received their copy.

On Thursday, he deleted all his social media accounts. The same day he was arrested. He is charged with stealing a total of between $ 2,500 and $ 10,000 in goods.
