On the morning of the 17th, Seoul Central District Court Chief Judge Kim Bong-gyu issued an arrest warrant for Mr. A, a 30-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting and indiscriminately assaulting a woman on her way to work on a hiking trail in Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul.
Judge Kim issued a warrant for Mr. A for fear of fleeing and the seriousness of the crime.
Meanwhile, on the 19th, the victim died 20 minutes after the suspect interrogation (warrant review) was over before arrest.
The victim had been receiving hospital treatment in an unconscious state for three days after the incident.
Due to the victim’s death, the police are reviewing a plan to investigate the charges against Mr. A as murder charges such as rape instead of injuries such as rape under the Punishment of Sexual Violence Act, which was applied to the arrest warrant.
In addition, we plan to decide sooner or later whether to disclose Mr. A’s identity and whether to take a psychopath diagnosis test.
