It was Thursday last week that several shots were fired at the Bergen Nord police station. A total of five bullet holes were discovered in the facade of the building.
No one was injured in connection with the incident.
On Thursday evening, a man was arrested in Eidsvåg, the police said in a press release.
– It was a planned action, and the arrest took place without drama. The man has been charged with making serious threats with a firearm against the police and is currently in police custody, the report says.
The police state that the arrest will be followed up with a search and questioning.
– The aim of the investigation is now to establish whether or not the man had anything to do with the shooting. It is too early to say anything about a possible motive, the police write.
The man who has been arrested is Norwegian and in his 30s. He is known to the police and has a previous criminal conviction.
