The New York police arrested Jason Pass, suspected of murdering a father and son in a Brooklyn apartment after a confrontation where the subject was seriously injured.
The events occurred this Wednesday morning in the Bath Beach area of Brooklyn.
Police sources indicated that patrol officers detained him after identifying the vehicle in which he was traveling during a traffic stop.
The suspect allegedly threatened them with a knife, which caused one of the uniformed officers to shoot him.
Pass, 47, was taken to Lutheran Hospital in critical condition.
The victims were identified as Bladimy Mathurin, 47, and her stepson, Chinwai Mode, 27.
Both had a history of verbal confrontations with Pass.
The events were captured by a video camera that showed the moment the suspect shot them at point-blank range, taking their lives, and then fled through the building’s elevator.
The police have not yet confirmed Pass’s arrest, but will hold a press conference in the morning to explain the facts.

The NYPD informed the family that it could not show them the video of the Guatemalan woman fainting and falling onto the train track, captured by a security camera. However, the scene also ended up on TikTok and shows that the young woman did collapse on the edge of the platform.
