Shortly after 8am on Thursday morning, the police received a report of a disturbance at an address in Nyborg in Åsane.
– There are three people in an apartment in Åsane, one of them called in and must have felt threatened, operations manager Dan Erik Johannessen in the West police district told BA after large resources headed for Bergen north.
Armed action
The police chose to arm themselves. By 0830 they had the situation under control.
– A man in his 20s has been arrested for having committed violence against a woman in her 20s, says the operations manager.
The man is known to the police, and has previously been charged with violent incidents. According to Johannessen, the man and woman are lovers.
– There must have been a party
The arrested man is taken to the detention center and will be questioned later.
The woman, the man and another man in his 30s were in the apartment. It was the woman and the man in their 30s who reported the incident from the same phone.
None of them were injured, according to the police.
– It was probably a party that went on overnight and ended up in the morning hours with a bit of management.
