The Sofia Court of Appeals returned Iliya Nenov to custody and sent Daniela Andonova, detained last week for printing counterfeit $ 4m and 3.6m euros, to the yard of the Higher School of Transport. According to the panel chaired by Kalin Kalpakchiev, counterfeits similar to those found in Nenov and Andonova are even in circulation.
The two came to court as free people, as in the first instance they had measures of restraint “subscription”. They were released by the city court on the grounds that the fakes were too bad. However, Kalpakchiev did not agree with the thesis of the lower instance.
“They have to be outwardly similar to the real thing. “The imperfection of the spice, even the lack of some signs, does not make them an unfit object,” he said. He referred to the BNB expertise that the money was not a film prop. It was prepared by the deputy governor of the bank Kalin Hristov. He claims that such counterfeits, seized from a smashed printing house in January in Sunny Beach, are already in circulation.
