Arrest after chase on the A4 of stolen German car

The police have arrested the driver of a car with a German license plate in Leidschenveen near The Hague. This was preceded by a long chase on the A4.

Officers driving on the A4 near Hoofddorp received a report from a camera when a car with a German registration number passed. The report was that the car had been stolen in Germany.

They gave a stop sign, but the driver quickly took off in the direction of The Hague. This would have involved driving over the hard shoulder at more than 200 kilometers per hour.

Near Leidschendam, the chased car entered the built-up area of ​​Leidschenveen. A police car partly managed to get next to it and give the car a shove, so that it came to a halt. An officer suffered minor injuries during the arrest.
