Who did well: Arrascaeta
The main man in Flamengo’s offensive sector in the derby, Giorgian Arrascaeta scored a great goal in the 44th minute of the second half and decided the match. In addition to the beautiful play at the end of the game, the Uruguayan was, throughout the 90 minutes, the name of Flamengo more participative in the attack, especially while the team suffered to seek the second goal, against a Vasco that closed in the defense.
Who was bad: Andreas Pereira
It was Andreas Pereira’s fault that led to Vasco’s equalizing goal, in a great move by Gabriel Pec. Similar to the fateful move in the final of Liberators, in which he was disarmed by Deyverson, the midfielder lost the ball to Pec, who crossed the midfield, advanced on the right and kicked into the angle to score. In addition, nothing cooperated at the front and he was substituted five minutes after the main move of the derby. He left the field booed, adding a miss, the yellow card and an isolated ball in a good opportunity by the entrance of the area.
Fla occupies Vasco’s field and is not very incisive, but wins in the end
Flamengo spent a good part of the match occupying the attacking field and exchanging passes, opening the scoring in the 11th minute, after Arão’s cross, which Filipe Luís headed in to score. However, after the bid, with an advantage on the scoreboard and even after the tie, Rubro-Negro struggled to generate a clear opportunity. Neutralized by Vasco’s marking, Fla’s attack went around the opponent’s area a lot and rarely scared. At the end of the game, the goal came thanks to the individuality of Arrascaeta, who from outside the area hit a precise shot and scored a great goal.
Vasco suffers from a lack of creativity
Zé Ricardo’s men entered back, with the proposal to overcome the red-blacks on the counterattack. The strategy was quickly undermined, after Filipe Luís scored in the 11th minute. Needing the equalizing goal, Vasco’s lack of creativity was clear, who in the first half only took danger in a header by Zé Gabriel, very well defended by Hugo. In the final stage, however, the counterattack in an individual play and kick by Gabriel Pec returned the team to the confrontation. With the tie on the scoreboard, the Vasco team closed again and tried to hold Fla. The proposal worked until the 44th minute, when Arrascaeta decided the match.
Request for “peace” in 15 languages on Flamengo shirts

The message occupied the main advertising space in the red-black uniform, below the symbol of the club and the sports sponsor.
