Their strong cost awareness is currently paying off for almost 40,000 privately insured people: They will receive a portion of the premiums they paid in 2023 back from LVM Health Insurance. On average, this premium refund amounts to around 650 euros per contract. In total, LVM Health Insurance pays out around 18 million euros.
Those LVM private policyholders who either did not visit a doctor in the past year or who paid low outpatient treatment costs themselves will receive a refund. Even customers who only took out private health insurance with LVM in the course of the past year benefit: they will receive a proportionate refund of their premiums.
“We are seeing a particularly strong awareness of costs among our civil service candidates. This means that we can refund up to six months’ contributions in the candidate tariffs if they are not required to make any payments. In combination with our three-year contribution guarantee, we are making a great offer to young people starting their careers,” says Dr. Rainer Wilmink, who is responsible for the personal divisions on the LVM board.
