In the traditional skiing “Around Alauksta”, this time the skiers had to fight not only with competitors, but also with the weather conditions, the fresh snow that fell at night was not as slippery as we would have liked, in addition, it continued to snow during the competition. However, the skiers successfully coped with all the challenges.

In the marathon distance, in the absolute rating, Renars Birkenthal won, Sylvesters Švauksts was second, Kristers Kovgers was third. For ladies, the three fastest in this distance: Anda Muižniece (Aizkraukle), Aneta Ciborovska (Poland), Lauma Černievska (Riga). It must be said that in total only seven skiers allowed themselves to this test.

Prize-winning places in individual age groups were won by: in the V30 group, the first three were exactly the same as in the absolute rating, while Reinis Praulītis (“Team Praulīši”/ “Vaivīte”) finished fourth. in S30 group A. Muižniece, L. Čerņevska, Anete Geduševa – Bērziņa (Kocēnu MTB); in V45 group Marets Birkentāls (SK “Raimaks”), Aleksandrs Zilis, Žanis Pavlovskis; S45 group A. Ciborovska, Līga Putniņa, Karina Laurika (Estonia). In the V60 group Olevs Orgs (5A Valka/ LV), Uldis Lapsa (Skanste), Uģis Dančauskis (Cēsis).
