“Around access to abortion crystallized the fractures of the time”

When does life begin and where does the right of women to dispose of their bodies end? From Warsaw to Austin, Texas, the time limits granted for the voluntary termination of pregnancy are called into question. On the other side of the spectrum, Paris announced the inclusion of the extension of the legal duration of abortion on the agenda in the Senate in January 2022. What the return of these debates on the political scene are the symptom? The weather asked Marina De Toro, assistant archivist and author of a dissertation on the history of abortion at the University of Lausanne, to contextualize them.
