At the beginning there were around 5,000 people who gathered at Europaplatz in front of the main train station. After the start of the march, it went via Annenstrasse, Vorbeckgasse, Belgiergasse and Tegetthoff Bridge through the city center to Freiheitsplatz, which is right next to Karmeliterplatz. From that point on, the demo participants of the two parallel events of different organizers mingled. According to the police, it was largely quiet, and there were no reports of possible violations of the wearing of masks for the time being.
Already on November 15, around 4,000 people had gathered in Graz to demonstrate against the Corona restrictions.
Rally in St. Pölten too
At around 2 p.m. also started in St. Pölten a corona protest event initiated by the FPÖ under the motto “For Freedom” with around 3,500 participants. The mood was partly heated.
First of all, a rally on the Domplatz was on the program, in the course of the afternoon a march through the Lower Austrian provincial capital should follow.
