Around 25 hours from Berlin: Flixbus drives back to Kyiv – Berlin

The German long-distance bus platform Flixbus is again offering trips to the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. “The safety of our passengers and drivers is our top priority,” said regional manager Michal Lehmann on Friday.

“We have been waiting for the right time to resume some of our routes, particularly to the Ukrainian capital.” Connections from Warsaw to Kyiv and from Prague to Kyiv will resume on Monday.

A new route from Budapest to Kyiv is scheduled to go into operation on April 28. The company also stated that it would “continue to expand its network as soon as the situation stabilizes”.

Flixbus had cut connections to Kyiv at the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. However, the connection to Lviv in the west of the country continued to operate. According to the company, the number of people entering Ukraine is now increasing again. The number of people leaving the country is still twice as high. (AFP)
