Demonstrations and illegal parties, but also outside meetings with insufficient distance and the lack of mouth and nose protection, offered the police many opportunities to take action. Recently, the spring-like weather also attracted more people outside. The police stressed that they are always relying on dialogue. This is the most efficient method to achieve success, said spokesman Daniel Fürst.
“Necessary consequence” in the event of violations
Penalties are therefore not in the foreground. The aim is that the measures are adhered to and that social contacts are reduced to a minimum. However, the spokesman emphasized, the police would “intervene with the necessary consistency” in the event of a deliberate violation, gross violations and disregard of police instructions.
If necessary, advertisements would then also be placed accordingly. In the event of a mandate, a fine of 90 euros is due. It is significantly more expensive for advertisements; the health authorities decide on the amount. In the last three months alone, around 3,600 company mandates and 12,000 advertisements have been issued.
