Arnold Schwarzenegger, who gained fame as an actor, bodybuilder and former governor, has been fitted with a pacemaker. The celebrity tells about it in his Instagram update.

Schwarzenegger commented on Instagram that despite the operation, he is ready for the filming of the 2nd season of the Fubar series as planned. He says that the pacemaker is inconspicuous in itself, that you can only see it if you look specifically for it.

The former governor of California underwent his first surgery in 1997. At that time, he had a pulmonary and aortic valve replacement that lasted 12 to 15 years. Schwarzenegger new flaps in 2018 and in 2020.

The US magazine the People reported that Schwarzenegger also talked about his pacemaker in his latest podcast episode.

On his Arnold’s Pump Club podcast, Schwarzenegger opens up about the procedure being the result of three open-heart surgeries. Scar tissue from his previous surgery caused him to have an irregular heartbeat. He was advised to monitor the heart rate closely.

“Last Monday, I had an operation, after which I’m a bit more of a machine: I got a pacemaker,” he said.

– I want to thank my entire team at the Cleveland Clinic. All the doctors and nurses took amazing care of me and made the operation as painless as possible, Schwarzenegger thanked.

He also brought up his mother’s death in 1998: her death motivated him to stay on top of his health. Schwarzenegger says his mother died when she didn’t get the valve replacement surgery she needed.

– I kept in touch with my medical team and had a check-up at least once a year to find out how my heart was doing.

– It’s life with a genetic heart problem, but I have no intention of complaining about it, Schwarzenegger said.
