Arnold Schwarzenegger has spoken openly during an interview on CNN about his family’s Nazi past hoping that his testimony will serve as an example to fight hate crimes in the United States.
The popular actor has told that his father, Gustav Schwarzenegger, was a member of the Nazi partyled by Adolf Hitler during World War II, and who fought in some of the toughest battles of the time, such as the siege of Leningrad to the invasions of France or Poland.
“My father, and many millions of other men, were sucked into a system of hate. through lies and deceit. And we have already seen where that leads, ”said the actor, who assured that his father had been“ broken ”inside.
“I have seen firsthand the kind of atrocities that happened. How many millions of people had to die and then ended up being losers?he added.
“Love is more powerful than hate”
